7 ways to divide Brazil

filipomar:

Just saw this and remembered I had the english version I posted on r/brasil couple weeks back and forgot to post here.

Honestly, the /u/eukubernetes translates way better but here goes the best part of any joke, explaining it:

1 The bolacha biscoito debacle where you can almost see where I stand in this very important linguistic battle.

2 Like Finland we also have a mistical place within our borders.

3 For some reason we have a state that is a rebelion stage for almost two centuries now.

4 Welp...

5 There are regions, I guess much like San Francisco that have the fame of being more open about their sexuality.

I don't know why the Gaúchos of Rio Grande do Sul have their fame, but my city of Campinas [The dot in São Paulo] is known locally for its gay making water. Why? Cause back in the Slave days the sons of the plantation owners would study abroad and then come back acting like the city folk in Paris.

Nowadays other campineiros have to akwardly laugh at homophobic jokes made by out of town cab drivers and that conservative uncle you love to not see that often.

Also, Belo Horizonte in Minas has a big ass pride parade.

6 Paraná is called the Russia of Brasil on r/brasil for the weird videos we get out of there.

7 Every holiday the somewhat rich people from São Paulo and Rio go to the best beaches weve got up in the northeast, and our south gets inundated by the hermanos down below.

Also the r/brasil post.

Edit: The numbering got all mixed up by the formating for some reason
