Etymology of the word for wolf in Europe

I decided to look up the etymology of word for wolf. It turns out that most PIE languages in European share the same root - wĺ̥kʷos (with the exception of Swedish and the Celtic languages). Usually there's more deviation.
It is suspected that *wĺ̥kʷos meant also "dangerous".
Albanian and Greek and derived from Proto-Albanian and Ancient Greek, respectively. I coloured them the same shade of green for simplicity.
Note: I'm not sure if those are in fact the words that are used in everyday Manx and Scottish Gaelic - if somebody could confirm, that would be great.
