According to the Lausanne Treaty, Turkey has restored its pre-war borders and Greece has released Karaağac and Bosnaköy as war reparations

Until 1936, both Bosphorus's were ruled by foreigners and completely de-militarized, after the Treaty of Montroux, foreign occupation of Bosphorus has ended.
