The Little Entente was a military alliance of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the Kingdom of Romania, and Czechoslovakia that existed from 1920 to 1938. The reason for its formation was the fear of a possible attempt by Austria or Hungary to regain territories previously held by Austria-Hungary through military attack. The Little Entente was considered the "fifth power of Europe". The alliance collapsed in 1938 when Czechoslovakia was divided during the Munich Agreement.
