Word for umbrella in European languages

danielogiPL:

Notes:

* All of the languages are color coded by the roots of the word, which I have done research on.

* There are some languages where I couldn't find the translation, notably Gagauz, Karelian, Abkhaz, Ossetian, Ingush and Kalmyk - these languages are absent as a result, but you can say the translations if you know them.

* In contrast, Asturian, Cornish and Lezgian have been added to the map.

* There are several languages with more than one word for an umbrella, notably Albanian (ombrellë, hijëz), Catalan (parapluja), Dutch (regenscherm, parasol), Finnish (päivänvarjo, varjo), Georgian (შუაგი (šuagi)), Irish (scáth báistí), Italian (parapioggia), Lithuanian (lietsargis), Portuguese (chapéu-de-chuva), Russian (зонт (zont)), Spanish (paraguas, sombrilla), Tatar (зонтик (zontik)) and Turkish (şemsiye). Please let me know if any of these should be the ones placed on the map.

* Note that this map exclusively counts a *rain* umbrella, not a sun umbrella. There are multiple languages with a separate word for a sun umbrella.

* If you want to point out a mistake, please do so in a civil, helpful way! I love hearing about languages, and I'd be very happy to have you guys help me out with making the map correct. You don't need to act rude because of an error, I just like if you're helpful.
