Fertility Rate in the United States: 2008 vs 2023👩🍼 Swipe to see the change 👀 In 2008, the U.S. fertility rate averaged 2.08, just above the replacement rate of 2.1 children per woman. Most states were in the green, meaning the population was on track to sustain itself. Fast forward to 2023 ➡️ the national fertility rate has dropped to 1.62, well below replacement level.
