Diachronic map of European colonialism and conquest all over the world (with general dates)

For the purpose of this map, we are looking at a de facto map, I'm not taking into consideration claims which were never realized, for example:

- Louisiana: never actually fully controlled by France nor Spain.

- Californias & Nootka: Spanish claims never fully controlled.

- Anglo-Ottoman division of Southern Arabia: it was a theorical division which was never put in place besides in Yemen, because neither of them controlled the Rub al-Khali.

- Patagonia: claimed since the 16th century, never controlled.
